speckits stores the minimum it needs to sell and deliver template repositories. This page covers what we show publicly, what we keep, and the choices you have.
The buyer counter and avatar strip
Our site shows an exact count of distinct buyers, computed live from real purchase records, and a small strip of recent buyers' public GitHub profile pictures. The strip states a purchase fact only — appearing in it never implies a testimonial or an endorsement.
Your profile picture is already public on your GitHub profile; what's new here is the fact that this identity bought from speckits. We show it on the basis of legitimate interests, weighed and documented in an internal assessment, and every buyer receives a one-time notice before their picture can first appear.
Opting out
Email dev@tlr.je from any address, reply to the notice email, or mention it on any channel you already use with us. We remove you from all proof displays, including cached pages, within 7 days — no questions, no effect on your license or repositories. The buyer count is a purchase statistic and still includes you.
To honour an opt-out we store exactly one thing: your numeric GitHub user id. No copy of your handle or picture is kept. If you ask us to erase your account entirely, avatar sourcing for you disappears with it.
Purchases and email
Purchase records (your GitHub identity, the template, the amount paid) exist to deliver your repository and keep your claim link working. The email list is single opt-in with its consent text stored verbatim; every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can ask for full erasure at any time via dev@tlr.je.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
